An economist with ample experience in planning, implementing and evaluating environmental and development programs for the non-profit sector. Juana’s areas of expertise include circular and low carbon economy.

Throughout her career she has lead multi-lateral funding programs such as the Tropical Forest Conservation Agreement in Colombia; international advocacy campaigns such as the Climate Justice and Energy program at Friends of the Earth International; and grass-roots organizations.

Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at the Circ€uit Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Net-work on Circular Economy at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. Her area of research is user acceptance for circular resource efficiency. The research focuses on how consumer requirements such as (perceived) convenience for the end user and fulfilling requirements for circularity can be balanced.
